Returns Policy
This Returns Policy is an integral part of PriceDrop's Terms and Conditions. Any terms defined in the Terms and Conditions will retain the same meaning here unless otherwise specified. This policy is crafted to respect your statutory rights and is not intended to limit them in any manner.
Preparing Your Products for Return
To expedite the processing of your return request, you must:
- Safely and securely package your products to prevent damage during transit
- Clearly mark your return reference number on the outside of the parcel
- Include all accessories and parts
Return Categories
Unwanted Products
You can return any unwanted product within 7 days of delivery, provided:
- The product is undamaged, unused, and retains its original labels and stickers
- It is in its original packaging, which must be undamaged and with all seals intact
- No accessories or parts are missing
- The product isn't one of the exceptions listed below
Certain items cannot be returned, including but not limited to:
- Digital products such as electronic vouchers, gaming codes, or other digital downloads
- Unsealed audio or video recordings, computer software, nursing or maternity products, infant bottles, infant feeding products, bottle accessories, foodstuff, beverages, beauty products, fragrances, intimate products, lingerie, swimwear, bodysuits, underwear, jewelry for piercings, and flatpack furniture that has been assembled after delivery
Damaged Products Upon Delivery
If a product is damaged or missing parts or accessories upon delivery, notify us within 7 days by logging a return on our website. We will arrange the product collection and repair or replacement, subject to inspection and validation of your return.
Defective Products
A defect refers to any material imperfection in a product's manufacture or any characteristic making the product less acceptable than one would reasonably expect.
Return entitlements do not extend to:
- Faults from normal wear and tear
- Damage due to negligence, user abuse, or incorrect usage of the product
- Damage due to electrical surges, sea air corrosion, failure to adequately care for the product, or unauthorized product alterations
- Dissatisfaction with a product’s specifications, if accurately described on the website and generally fit for its intended purpose
Warranty Terms
Standard Warranty
All products are covered by a 6-month warranty against defects or poor quality from the date of delivery. However, this warranty doesn't apply to consumable goods due to their expiry dates.
Manufacturer Warranty
Some products have manufacturer warranties, where the supplier or manufacturer manages defective returns directly. In such cases, please contact the supplier or manufacturer directly.
Charges and Refunds
If a defective product is returned without all of the accessories and parts sold with it, we may refuse the return, replace only the returned item, or estimate the value of the missing parts for a refund. If you return a product that doesn't comply with this policy, you may have to reimburse us for the cost of collecting and returning the product. Refunds will be made to the original payment method.
Faulty or Damaged Items
Faulty and damaged items will be handled in accordance with sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
- Notify us within 7 days for damaged items upon arrival. We may request images to assess the damage.
- Faulty items may be returned within the warranty period. If not indicated, a standard 6-month warranty applies.
- Courier costs for faulty items under warranty are covered by PriceDrop, unless assessed as non-faulty or user damage, where the customer may be liable for return cost.
Unwanted Items
You can return non-faulty items within 7 days of receipt, subject to certain conditions. Some opened items can't be returned, including, but not limited to swimwear, underwear, lingerie, beauty products, fragrances, bedding, towels, games, software, foodstuffs, cleaning products, and certain jewelry items.
Incorrectly Received Items
For incorrectly received items, notify us within 3 days of receipt. The item must be in a re-sellable condition, in original packaging, and include all original accessories, parts, and documentation.
Mobile and Other Electronic Devices
Customers are responsible for backing up any data on mobile and other devices. PriceDrop or its suppliers will not be held responsible for any data lost due to a faulty device.
